Lack of Teamplay

So I recentely played a little SMNC match and we had a CG on our team i thought it was all good but the didn't heal anyone. After i asked her why the replay just made me sad "How am I supposed to get kills then".

I mean seriously as a support character your main goal is to heal people and not get kills. That's why it is called a SUPPORT character.

Can't we just have a scoreboard where the kills aren't shown? Like only at the end of the match? This is a team"sport" and not a one man game.

Test

How to extract image files
1) Go to this site and download Umodel
2) Save it anywhere but the SMNC directory
3) Copy desired *.upk (usually the new textures are located in SMNC FrontEnd, but there are also desirable items in MNCGame) to the Umodel directory
4) Look for desired texture (this may take a while)
PS: Remember to read the read-me in the download. It should help you what command to use to save/extract the file that you want.

To make a page unavailable for edit from other users, I will have to make this page my Sandbox. This will receive edits in the future containing different experimental codes

Uploaded images left untouched for now

This PC update includes:

New Features

  • Chickey Gear for all Pros
  • Added timer countdown to two minutes until end game / Overtime

MNC PC Update Apr 22, 2011 (Uncle Tully's Funland)

It’s the Throwback Throwdown in Monday Night Combat! Uncle Tully's Funland is available tonight in Crossfire with new game play features!

First up we have Chickey Cantor. He will now spawn in Uncle Tully's Funland. Make Chickey fly away by shooting him and earn a big single-life buff for your entire team! Wait for Chickey to slam the ground and then you can grapple him. Ride him for eight seconds and earn big money! Just be careful, riders tend to be easy targets for enemy Pros. Secondly we’re introducing new bot spawners. These spawners have buttons for specifically spawning Jackbots, Black Jacks, Slims, Scramblers, Gremlins, Gap Shots and Bouncers. We also focused a bit on the server side features of Monday Night Combat. We’ve included r…

MNC PC Update Mar 25, 2011

This update's focus is two fold. The first is iterating on and pulling back the visibility of the All Star Rating. The All Star Rating system looks at many different aspects of the player’s play and uses an algorithm to come up with a number that represents their skill level. It’s a system that fluctuates over time depending on how you play in every facet of Monday Night Combat. We will continue to improve the system over time. We also wanted to once again show player level and reintroduced that back into the UI. Secondly we took aim at some issues surrounding the charge abilities. We fixed several bugs with charge not doing damage, not doing knock-back, or doing knock-back when it shouldn’t. We also retuned it so to make the Assault have …

Combatant's Card

At the moment, I'm experimenting with making a card which shows your Star Rating, Your UserName/GamerTag, favourite custom class and maybe your current protag. I started on this template here:

But I'm quite new to if statements and such with Wikia styling, so it may take me a while to get it to work. I go onto the Pokemon WIki and there's a few templates that use if statements, so I'll look it up at some time.

Anyone wish to suppor me on this?

Spycrabs unite!

Team Fortress 2 is a great game, in fact, it bears a lot of similarities to MNC, but there is one thing that I can not overlook: The shameless killing of defenseless spycrabs, heavycrabs and civilians (who have recently re-entered TF2). Hear me brothers (or sisters) you must rise up and assist the defenseless! If you see a spycrab (heavycrab or civilian) you must make it your duty to protect them with your life for the good of an endagered species! (Warning: Civilians should not be trusted as much as any form of crab they can use weapons still) (Scratch that Civilians are gone again)

Best Class in MNC?

A question that I really want to figure out, "which class is the best in MNC overall?" In my opinion the Support poses a great threat on the home front and in hostile territory. The Support's shotgun can take out the average enemy in 2 - 3 shots and his firebase can decrease that ever further. While at home he can over heal turrets and hack them to increase the range of them to allow the turret to snipe enemies trying to pull one over on your base. The Gunner, however; given the correct perks, can shred an enemy in 2 seconds and also remove turrets with his mortar launcher in 3 or 4 shots. Meanwhile at home he can decimate enemy bots and pros with his deploy. So, who is the best Support or Gunner?

MNC PC Update Mar 10, 2011 (PAX East, Samurai, and All-Star Rating)

This update focuses on the new player experience. With the influx of players coming from PAX East we wanted to make sure that the new Monday Night Combat fans get to play with other new fans without getting rolled over by veterans. With the new All-Star Rating system players will be able to get an idea of their skill level vs the others on their server. The balance adjustments to armor endorsements and the default class changes were aimed at continuing this goal by making the newer players live longer but the veteran players, who are usually armed with custom classes, be more in balance when they use these endorsements.

New Features:

  • All-Star Rating System – The All Star system is a system to rate players so that they have more visibility in…

Filling in the Protags

As you can see, if you have a look at the protags page, it's pretty empty. Well, let's try and fill it up!

If you have a specific class you play, then you are likely to have some protags that aren't on the page. So, get them and put them there. Even if you only put a couple up, it still helps.

Cheers.

Ugh level 99 is such a pain!!!

I am trying to get to level 99 ASAP, but the process is soooo long! I am level 84 because I got two levels today abusing the crap out of Blitz modes. I want to get to 99 so I can take advantage of the "All-Star Mode" when the DLC finally releases. If anyone reads this and would like to join me for some Blitz, I would more than happily join. I am happy to say I got to wave 145 by my self on Sudden Death Blitz earlier today, so some real teammates would be welcomed. Thanks!

Transitioning to the new Wikia look

A couple months ago, not long after the release of Monday Night Combat, Wikia announced that it would be changing its default style, look, and layout away from the "Monaco" skin that most of its wikis used to something they're currently calling the "New Wikia Look". There has been much opposition to this new format, but because it is inevitable, I thought it best to detail some important parts of it here.

The transition timeline that has been outlined already has anonymous users defaulting to the new look; logged-in users will get the new look on October 20th with the option to go back to the old skin; that option will, however, be removed on November 3rd. The biggest difficulty in this transition will be in making sure that preexisting sty…

Why am I on a wiki?

I don't know why, in fact, I don't even know why I play Monday Nigh Combat. All I do is get mad and scream at the game (just like every other damn game I ever played.) Maybe, I just wanted the chance to join something and say, "Hey, I was one of the first people to join that game!" Then share whatever knowledge I have acquired to a wiki that is still fairly, new but gaining in wealth from its dedicated wikimen (don't ask.) In fact, why am I even writing this blog? I'm propably never going to post another one. For the achievement? Why would it be for that when I wrote all the above crap up there? I don't know anymore, I just live you know. I just do what I need to do. Go where I need to go. And everything in between. I don't even know who t…

MNC Battle-Simulation Results

This isn't quite news for the Game or Uber Entertainment, however I thought it might interest the fans of the game and the editors of the Wiki:

As some of you may know, I'm working on battle simulations for each Pro and their weapons. I have completed the following:

Assault vs. Assault (Rifle vs. Grenade Launcher)

Assassin vs. Assassin (Sword vs. Shuriken)

Tank vs. Gunner (Jet Gun vs. Minigun).

Tank vs. Gunner (Class Battle)

Here are the results:

Assault Rifle beat out Grenade Launcher with 73 out of 100 battles won.

Sword managed to come out on top with 52 out of 100 battles won.

The Jet Engine Gun got a close shave of a victory with 51 out of 100 battles won.

And finally, the Gunner dominated with 93 battles won out of 100.
