![]() Assassin |
vs | ![]() Assault |
An Assault using the Fly skill cannot be assassinated. Following him until the skill expires is not usually recommended, as he will be shooting you while you follow him. Assassins can also dodge Charges much more easily than other classes thanks to their speed, if you see an Assault charging; dash in another direction. That said, do not approach an Assault head-on because his Charge (and especially his Charge 3 Grapple) can trump anything you do and is usually deadly. Also keep your ears open for the distinct beeping of Bombs. Lastly, the Assault Rifle does more damage when you're closer to it; so be careful when going for an assassination. |
![]() Assassin |
vs | ![]() Tank |
Tanks have the highest defense of all classes, but are almost always the slowest; use this to your advantage. Even with maxed out Skills, an assassination will never fully kill a Tank. After performing an Assassination, either attack with your sword/dagger immediately; or use your Smoke Bombs to escape; the Tank's Jet Gun is extremely powerful at close range, and it causes damage over time along with rendering your cloak useless due to the flame over your head. Watch out for the Death Blossom (spin attack), because it will set you on fire, along with being hard to jump over. Deployed Tanks can't be assassinated, and their backpack jets or their Jet Gun will kill you before you can kill them in melee, so make use your Shuriken Launcher. Taking on a Tank with a friend who is using another light class (Assault or Support) usually results in a victory over the Tank. |
![]() Assassin |
vs | ![]() Support |
Supports working on Turrets may be too busy to notice you, setting themselves up for an Assassination, though a good Support will always be on the lookout for Assassins, so if he takes out his Shotgun, he is already on to you. Flank him if you don't want to be introduced to it, because it can take you down in a few direct hits. And watch out for Supports near their Firebase. Once you make a move on the Support, it will make a move a usually-lethal move on you. Supports escorting a Tank or Gunner are among the most difficult because they'll be on the lookout for Assassins and will have the assistance of heavy firepower nearby. The Hurt/Heal Gun cannot damage you when you're cloaked. It will, however, inform the Support that you're there if you're in front of him. Firebases can be stunned with your Smoke Bomb, and taken out easily from behind unless they're Overhealed or maxed out. Also, the Support is an insta-kill from both sides with an assassination when your Assassin Skill is maxed out, so don't worry about running around him to assassinate him and grapple away. |
![]() Assassin |
vs | ![]() Assassin |
Other Assassins are just as deadly as you. Don't assume you're the best one around. If you have a dagger and the Assassin has a sword, do not fight her unless you can get behind her, (likewise, the situation is much different if your opponent has a dagger and you have a sword). Assassins can't see your cloak any better then other Pros, but that also means you can't see theirs, so keep an eye out. The Shuriken Launcher can be more deadly then most people assume, and is especially deadly on stationary targets. The Assassin is an insta-kill from both sides with an assassination when your Assassin Skill is maxed out. If you're not maxed out, watch out for Assassins with at least a Silver Armor Endorsement; they can survive a front Dagger grapple at full health and can return the favor. |
![]() Assassin |
vs | ![]() Gunner |
The Gunner's minigun causes more damage at close range. Be wary when attempting an assassination, though it is helpful that they are one of the slowest Pros. The Gunner's slam will slow you down at early levels, but a well-timed smoke bomb will still allow for a quick escape. You could also jump over the slam as you would with a Jackbot, but practice is recommended. Deployed Gunners cannot be assassinated, and their backpack jets or their Minigun will kill you before you can kill them in melee, so use your Shuriken Launcher. Gunners can fall victim to Shuriken surprisingly well if they're not perceptive enough to move out of the way. |
![]() Assassin |
vs | ![]() Sniper |
Snipers are an Assassin's favorite target. They have low health and defense and are preoccupied with aiming down their scopes to notice you sneaking behind them. All these factors make them an easy kill. Snipers with an SMG out should be avoided until they switch weapons. Follow them in the shadows until they do. Watch out for Traps, as they will make your Cloak useless until you're free, and they'll make you a sitting duck when upgraded. Snipers are an insta-kill from both sides unless they have at least a Silver Armor Endorsement (then they can survive a front Dagger grapple at full health, allowing them to counterattack), so grapple them when they least expect it. |

Turrets[]
- Smoke Bombs stun Turrets as well as Bots but only for a short time.
- Let your Bots distract the Turret while you destroy it from behind. Smoke Bombs will make the process go a lot faster.
- A good time to go after Turrets is when you're Juiced. Your speed can help you take out even multiple upper-level turrets.
